    Itinerary
4 days tours from Marrakech to the majestic Merzouga Desert

Day 1: Marrakech → Ait Benhaddou → Ouarzazate → Dades Valley

Depart Marrakech in the morning and journey through the High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Along the way, you’ll pass Berber villages and stop at panoramic viewpoints before arriving at the iconic Ait Benhaddou, a fortified ksar and UNESCO World Heritage Site. After a guided walk through the kasbah, you’ll continue to Ouarzazate for a quick visit (optional stop at Atlas Film Studios or Taourirt Kasbah), then travel through the Valley of Roses before reaching the Dades Valley for the night.

Day 2: Dades Valley → Todra Gorge → Erfoud → Merzouga

After breakfast, head to the dramatic Todra Gorge, where sheer rock walls tower up to 300m. You’ll have time for a walk or photos, then continue through desert towns like Tinejdad and Erfoud (known for fossils and dates). Arrive in Merzouga, where your camel caravan awaits to take you into the Erg Chebbi dunes at sunset. After a 1–1.5 hour ride, reach your desert camp, where you’ll enjoy dinner, Berber drumming, and stargazing.

Day 3: Merzouga (Desert Activities & Exploration)

Wake early to watch the sunrise over the dunes, then ride camels or take a 4×4 back to Merzouga village for breakfast. This day is dedicated to exploring the desert surroundings. You’ll visit Khamlia village, home to a community of Gnawa musicians, and see traditional nomad families. Optional sandboarding, ATV/quad biking, or relaxing at the edge of the dunes is available. You’ll spend a second night in Merzouga—either at a hotel or back at the camp (your choice).

    Day 4: Merzouga → Alnif → Agdz → Ouarzazate → Marrakech

After breakfast, you’ll start the return journey to Marrakech. The route takes you through Alnif, the Draa Valley, and Agdz, known for its palm groves and mudbrick ksour. After passing Ouarzazate again, you’ll continue through the High Atlas Mountains and arrive back in Marrakech by early evening, marking the end of your desert adventure.
