Upon arrival in Casablanca, Morocco’s bustling economic hub. You’ll be greeted by the city’s blend of modernity and tradition. After checking into your hotel, start your exploration with a visit to the magnificent Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world. With breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean. Spend the rest of the day strolling along La Corniche, enjoying the seaside ambiance, and exploring the old medina. The city offers a mix of contemporary architecture and historical sites, giving you a great introduction to Morocco. Overnight in Casablanca.
In the morning, you’ll head to Rabat, the capital of Morocco, just 1.5 hours from Casablanca. Explore the Royal Palace, the Hassan Tower, and the serene Kasbah of the Udayas, which provides stunning views of the ocean. Afterward, embark on a scenic drive to Chefchaouen, the famous blue city nestled in the Rif Mountains. Chefchaouen’s blue-painted buildings, narrow streets, and welcoming vibe will enchant you as you wander its tranquil medina. Spend the night in this picturesque mountain town.
Your journey continues as you drive to the ancient ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where you’ll explore the well-preserved remains of a Roman city, including its stunning mosaics and grand arches. Afterward, continue to Meknes, another imperial city rich in history. Visit the Bab Mansour Gate, the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, and the Royal Stables before making your way to Fes in the evening, where you’ll rest for the night.
Today, immerse yourself in the heart of Morocco’s culture with a full-day guided tour of Fes, one of the country’s oldest cities. You’ll explore the Fes el-Bali medina, a maze of narrow alleys, and visit important sites like the Al-Qarawiyyin University, the oldest continuously operating educational institution in the world. Discover the art of traditional tanning at the famous leather tanneries and admire the architectural wonders of the Bou Inania Madrasa. After a full day of exploration, you’ll have some free time in the evening to shop in the vibrant souks or relax in one of the many cafés.
An early start is required today as you make your way to Merzouga, a desert town at the edge of the Sahara Desert, taking in breathtaking landscapes along the way. The journey will take you through the Middle Atlas Mountains and scenic valleys, with occasional stops to admire the views. By late afternoon, you’ll arrive in Merzouga and have time to relax before preparing for a camel trek into the vast Sahara. Enjoy a traditional Berber dinner at a desert camp, and spend the night under the stars in the heart of the desert.
After a stunning desert sunrise, return by camel to Merzouga before heading towards Rissani, a historic town known for its ancient market and its proximity to the Ksar of Rissani. From there, continue on to the breathtaking Todra Gorge, where towering limestone cliffs create an awe-inspiring canyon. Explore the area, take in the natural beauty, and then continue to the Dades Gorges, a stunning location with winding roads and dramatic landscapes. You’ll spend the night in this serene part of Morocco, surrounded by the impressive rock formations.
Today, travel through the Dades Valley and stop in Kelaat Mgouna, known for its rose gardens and the annual Rose Festival. Then, drive towards Ait Ben Haddou, one of Morocco’s most iconic landmarks. This ancient fortified village is a UNESCO World Heritage site and has served as the backdrop for numerous films, including Gladiator and Game of Thrones. After exploring the kasbah, you’ll continue to Marrakech, where you’ll arrive in the evening, just in time to experience the lively Jemaa el-Fna Square, known for its vibrant street food stalls and entertainment. Spend the night in Marrakech.
On your penultimate day, enjoy a guided tour of Marrakech, one of Morocco’s imperial cities. Visit the grand Bahia Palace, the Koutoubia Mosque, and the peaceful Majorelle Garden, home to vibrant blue colors and lush greenery. You’ll also explore the Saadian Tombs and the lively medina, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The day ends with some free time to shop in the souks or relax in one of the city’s charming riads.
